The National Aquatics Center, better known as the Watercube, is being transformed into a magical world for a unique children's show. The show, "Beijing Legends" entertains kids as part of the Children's Day celebration from May 28th to June 1st.
Beijing Legends features a strong production team, including Marc Fisher, the stagecraft designer of the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, and Chen Wei who has won numerous prizes as a director of art festivals.
The story is based on the folk tale of "City of Na Zha with Eight Arms". The children in Beijing are enjoying their Children's Day when Na Zha lands with his special vehicle "Feng Huo Lun" along with his robot girlfriend. He summons the children to search for his eight arms in Beijing with the aid of a map.
In this play, many parts must be performed in the water, so audiences will also enjoy diving and water ballet.
