Local authorities said on Monday evening that a small plane has crashed into a shopping center in the U.S. state of Florida and local reports showed that at least five people have been injured.
Volusia County Sheriff's Office said that several people at the Northgate Shopping Center in Deland called 911 around 7:20 p.m. Monday about the crash, and a pilot and a passenger aboard were airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Local media reported that it appeared that the plane has crashed into the roof toward the building's rear. Five people were injured, two of them with burns.
Deland is a small town in Volusia County, about 40 miles north of Orlando, Florida.
