5.0-magnitude quake hits near Honshu, Japan

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 11:42:45 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 39.10 km, was initially determined to be at 35.8533 degrees north latitude and 140.4013 degrees east longitude.
