Guan Xiyou is chairman of the Shenyang Mechine Tool Co., Ltd. (SMTCL), which is now the world's largest machine tool builder.

SMTCL, an ISO 9001 registered company, produces $2.9 billion worth of machine tools in German factories (Schiess GmbH), factories in the Czech Republic and in China. SMTCL was re-established in 1995, and today has over 12,000 employees.
