Environmental issues to top Paulson's China visit

The US Secretary of Treasury Henry Paulson will start his two-day visit to Beijing on Tuesday. Paulson will meet with his "new rival," the newly appointed Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan who is in charge of China's financial affairs.

According to a statement from the US Department of the Treasury, topics concerning environmental protection and promotion of clean energy sources are on the top of the agenda for Paulson's upcoming visit. The talks will involve a wide range of economic issues, preparing for the fourth round Sino-US Strategic Economic Dialogue to be held in Washington in June.
