TCL Corp commences phase 3 of LCD base
China-based electronics manufacturer TCL Corp yesterday started construction in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, on the final phase of its biggest liquid crystal display production base as demand rises in the LCD television market.

Haier starts marketing arm
Haier Electronics Group Co, an arm of China's biggest home appliance maker, said yesterday that it plans to set up a wholly owned subsidiary to carry out marketing and logistics services in the third and fourth tier cities to capture surging demand in more rural areas of China.
