Bundesliga champion Dortmund received their trophy after beating Frankfurt into second division with a 3-1 victory at the final round of Bundesliga on Saturday.

Relegation threatened Wolfsburg and Monchengladbach wrapped first division at a thrilling three-way battle against Frankfurt. Record champion Bayern failed to oust Leverkusen from second, a direct Champions League qualification, as the "Werkself" defeated Freiburg.

Dortmund seals Frankfurt fourth relegation in club history due to a deserved 3-1 win. Frankfurt started absolutely harmless into their relegation battle whereas Dortmund squandered the opportunity to mark the opener through forward Lucas Barrios whose penalty was denied by Frankfurt's goalkeeper Ralf Faehrmann at the 12th minute.

After interval Frankfurt shocked the newish Bundesliga champion with the opener through midfielder Sebastian Rode who nodded home from close distance, to raise hope for staying up.

Dortmund stepped up to turn the match within four minutes. Dortmund forward Lucas Barrios netted the equalizer from penalty area at the 68th minute following an own goal by Frankfurt's defender Marco Russ four minutes later to give Dortmund the 2-1 lead. To make things worse Frankfurt midfielder Marcel Titsch Rivero was sent off with a straight red card after a cynical foul inside penalty area, but Dortmund veteran midfielder Dede pulled the penalty wide to smash the next penalty. Seconds before final whistle Dortmund striker Barrios sealed the 3-1 to drop Frankfurt into second division.

Dortmund finishes the season on top of the standing with 75 points whereas Frankfurt finishes on 17th position along 34 points, which was not enough for staying up.

Record champion Bayern Munich turned a 0-1 deficit to win 2-1 against Stuttgart. Stuttgart youngster striker Shinjin Okazaki shocked host Bayern with the opener at the 24th minute. 13 minutes later Bundesliga , and Bayern top scorer Mario Gomez levelled the score, after a terrific assist by Arjen Robben, to stun the guests before break.

At the 71st minute Bayern midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger sealed the deal when he nodded home a dead ball inside goal area.

Bayern finished a disappointing campaign on 3rd position, a Champions League relegation spot, along 65 points. Only striker Mario Gomez earned a trophy for Bayern as a top scorer with 28 goals in 32 matches. Stuttgart ends on 12th position with 42 points.

Midfielder Hanno Balitsch ensured his side Leverkusen second position, a direct Champions League spot, with the winner over Freiburg just before break. Freiburg terminates on 9th position with 44 points whilst Leverkusen concludes on 2nd with 68 points.

Hannover turned a 0-1 deficit to win 3-1 against Nuremberg. Nuremberg striker Julian Wiemeier marked the opener but Hannover' s defender Karim Haggui, Konstantin Rausch and striker Didier Ya Konan wrapped the deserved victory to terminate a stunning campaign on 4th position, a UEFA European League spot, along 60 points. Also Nuremberg finishes a terrific season on an unexpected 6th position with 47 points.

Relegated St. Pauli hoped to leave first division with a victory as midfielder Matthias Lehmann opened the scoring at the 42nd minute but Mainz striker Andre Schuerrle and striker mate Sami Allagui turned the match to make it 2-1 on the scoreboards. Mainz finishes on 4th position, the best position in club history to seal European League whereas St. Pauli relegates into second division on 18th position along 29 points.
