Founded in 1987, Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. is China's leading beverage producer located in Hangzhou, capital city of Zhejiang Province. Starting from a three-person workshop, Wahaha developed into a large-scale food and beverage maker. Sales of its bottled water, dairy drinks and canned eight-treasure porridge were best-sellers in China for many years. The company boasts more than 160 subsidiaries across the country with a total of 30,000 employees. Presently, it has total assets of more than 32 billion yuan (US$5.1 billion).
