8. Xu Beihong Memorial Hall

Located on Dong Shoulu Street, the memorial hall is a built in memory of Xu Beihong (1895 -1953), one of the first Chinese artists to create monumental oil paintings with epic Chinese themes. The 2,000-square-meter hall contains more than 1,100 paintings and calligraphies of the artist as well as tens of thousands of art books, stone inscriptions and pictures.

Free to individual visitors, group visitors should make appointments three days advance.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 a.m-5 p.m.
