6. Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall

Built in October 1986, this is a typical Beijing courtyard home nestled on Huhuo Temple Street in central Beijing. Before Mei Lanfang (1894-1961) spent his last 10 years in this cozy and subdued courtyard, he was one of the most famous Peking opera artists in modern history, exclusively known for his "qingyi" roles.

Admission: 10 yuan; 5 yuan for students

Free entry days: Tuesday and Friday afternoon

Limit: 200 people

Closed on Monday
