Sichuan Province launched its tourism marketing center in Japan during a tourism promotion event in Tokyo, Oct. 25, 2015, aiming to attract more tourists from Japan.

The promotion event was attended by more than 60 guests from Japanese travel operators, tourism media, airlines and associations for friendly exchanges.
At the event, Sichuan's tourism delegation introduced the province's rich tourism products and routes, incentive policies on inbound tourism, official tourism portal in Japanese, and its new tourism logo and slogan--"Sichuan, more than pandas. "
Japan is an important tourist-generating market for Sichuan, as well as one of the top destinations for Sichuan people.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the sister province-prefecture relationship between Sichuan Province and Yamanashi Prefecture in Japan.
