Mt. Emei Int'l Tourism Resort project launched

The project on Mt. Emei International Tourism Resort was launched at the end of 2015.
The project, with a total investment of around 10 billion yuan, aims to boost leisure and vacation tourism in Emei City, which is currently focused on sightseeing tourism.
The project will boost the city's tourism sector through a whole-industry-chain approach. It will include a Wushu culture town, a panda eco-park, a wetland for Crested ibis, hot spring health and rehabilitation parks, five-star hotels and cultural industrial parks.
The project will be completed within five to eight years.
By then, the resort will be capable of receiving 10 million tourists each year.
