The 22nd Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival will kick off in Caideng Park of Zigong City, Sichuan Province on the evening of January 21. The park, which has become a wonderland of light installations, ice lanterns and dramatic projections, highlights 128 sets of medium and large sized lanterns featuring new workmanship and designs in nine areas. Lanterns will be lit every night between 18:30 and 22:30 except on the evening of the Chinese New Year's Eve, which falls on February 7. During the lantern festival, tourists will have great opportunities to try different gourmet cuisines and snacks, as well as participate in various cultural activities. The festival, dubbed "China's No. 1 Lantern Festival," will close in mid-March. [Photo provided to China.org.cn]
