Chengdu Marathon hits the road

The 2016 Chengdu WCH & WNH Marathon, a spectacular sports event established in 1986, kicked off in Dujiangyan City of Sichuan Province on Mar. 27, 2016. More than 30,000 participants from both China and abroad participated in the event, which consists of a Full Marathon (42.195 km) and Half Marathon (21.0975 km). It offered runners great views along the route which stretched across many beautiful attractions, including two on UNESCO's World Cultural and Natural Heritage lists, Mount Qingcheng and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System as well as the Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries.
