Located in northern Sichuan's Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Scenic Area is a scenic and historical interest area covering some 700 square kilometers. The area is noted for its colorful pools created by calcareous deposits, especially in Huanglonggou (Yellow Dragon Gully), as well as for its beautiful valleys, diversified forest ecosystems, snow-capped peaks and pristine lakes.
