A tourism delegation from Sichuan Province visited France and Germany between June 4 and 10 to promote the province's unique tourism resources.

Yin Li, Sichuan's governor, was present at an economic and trade cooperation promotion and project signing ceremony for businesses from Sichuan and France in Paris on June 6. Yin expressed his hope that Sichuan would further enchance cooperation with France in sectors inculding cultural tourism.
Henri Baissas, deputy director general of UBIFRANCE, the French Trade Commission, hoped that businesses from the two sides could further their cooperation and increase investment.
Baissas said that Sichuan is a big tourism market with great development potential. The two sides can conduct in-depth cooperation in areas such as cultural tourism, mountain tourism and outdoor travel gear.
At the China-Germany Innovative Industries Cooperation Promotion Seminar and Cooperative Project Signing Ceremony held in Berlin on June 8, Joschka Fischer, former vice chancellor and minister of foreign affairs of Germany, said that Sichuan's residents have left a deep impression on him as they are hardworking and enjoy a relaxed lifestyle. German people need to explore Sichuan and discover its beauty.
A number of outdoor tourism promotion activities themed on "Sichuan, more than pandas" were held in the two countries, drawing great attention from the locals.
