Song Dynasty Porcelain Museum
Itinerary:
Take the G212 national way and its costs about two hours to go from Langzhong to Nanchong. Take the G42 Highway to go from Nanchong to Chengdu and it costs about 2.5 hours.
Highlights:
Xishan Mountain Scenic Area: It is a famous scenic area in Nanchong. The former residence of Chen Shou, author of The History of the Three Kingdoms, is located here.
The Chinese Dead Sea: It is a underground salt lake formed 150 million years ago. The lake is a good place to escape from the summer heat as people can easily float on it.
Song Dynasty Porcelain Museum: It is the only Chinese museum exclusive for Song Dynasty porcelain wares. Exhibits are mostly quality porcelain wares from famous kilns of the Song Dynasty. The most precious of all is a jar with lotus leaf-shaped lid from the Longquan Kiln of the Song Dynasty.
