2016 West China Music Festival to open in Dujiangyan
The 2016 Contest of University Bands was held on September 17 on the Qingshuihe Campus of the University of Electronic Science and Technology as a prelude to the 2016 West China Music Festival.
Seven post-90 bands staged vigorous and punk-style performances during the contest.
The 2016 West China Music Festival, sponsored by the People’s Government of Dujiangyan and Ruifeng Culture, will be held from October 1 to 5 in Dujiangyan, Sichuan.
Famous entertainers such as Sun Nan, Chen Xiaochun, Xu Wei, Wang Zulan and Lin Youjia, together with over 100 bands, will perform during the festival.
The festival aims to foster young musicians by providing them with an opportunity and platform to realize their music dreams.
The venue for the festival covers a floor area of 200 mu, with three stages as large as 10 standard football fields in combined area.
A fireworks display, a float parade and themed shows will add color to the event.
RV hotel is another highlight of the festival. People can choose to stay inside these fancy vehicles while enjoying their favorite music.
