Niufo Ancient Town in south Sichuan

The passage of time seems to have left no mark on Niufo, once the largest market town in south Sichuan. Located in Zigong City of Sichuan with a history of over 1000 years, the town looks like a faded old photo. Old trades like cotton fluffing and tailoring are still alive. Buildings from ages ago still stand. Delicious foods still have the original taste. The town, once accessible from all directions, allows no passage of motor vehicles. Peddlers pushing one-wheeled carts loaded with vegetables can still be seen. It is about three hours’ ride from Chengdu to the town and 40 minutes from downtown Zigong.
