Sichuan Province set up a pavilion at the Thirteenth Cross-Straits Travel Fair to promote its tourism in mid-May.

The fair, sponsored by the National Tourism Administration and Fujian Province People’s Government, was held in Xiamen from May 12 to 14.

With giant panda as its main theme and mostly in black and white, the 90-square-meter Sichuan pavilion is easy to notice. A delegation of 40 representatives from Guang’an, Guangyuan, Nanchong, Bazhong, Suining, Yibin and Ganzi promoted Sichuan’s abundant tourism resources and products through promotional materials, parade of people dressed up as giant pandas, face-changing performance, prize-wining Q&A and souvenirs.

A large number of visitors made inquiries at the pavilion.

The attendance at the fair was expected to help Sichuan attract tourists from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
