The 318 Auto (RV) Music Carnival and a seminar to discuss innovations to the development strategy of RV campsites in China, both sponsored by All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, were held in Xinjin County, Chengdu from May 27 to 28.

An alliance of Chinese auto (RV) campsites was established and a large-scale activity where a hundred Chinese RVs journey along the Silk Road were launched on the occasion.

A website dedicated to Chinese auto campsites was also launched concurrently.

With the continued growth in urbanization and people’s income and a higher demand for individualized travel, self-driving tours, including traveling on an RV, has given birth to a huge market where RV campsites face unprecedented opportunities.

By the end of 2016, China had only 948 RV campsites, compared to the 16,500 in the United States, a country of similar size.

The alliance of auto (RV) campsites, intended to explore the huge market potential, will serve as a non-profitable platform for exchanges and mutual help within the sector, said Hao Gang, Chairman of Board of 318 Motel Investment Management Company in Sichuan.
