On July 28, a delegation sent by the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) visited Dujiangyan Scenic Area with stops at Baopingkou, Feishayan and Yuzui.

“The guide's description inspired me so much, the ancient Chinese people were so clever!”said one delegate Dana.

As it steps up efforts to become a well-known international destination of eco tourism, the Qingcheng Mountain-Dujiangyan Scenic Area is grasping the strategic opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative by actively seeking strategic cooperation with Southeast Asian and European travel services.

The scenic area has also conducted research into designing themed tourist lines, for self-driving and health preservation for example, to cater to different consumer needs. It has also adopted a differentiated approach in marketing.

Meanwhile, it is actively exploring the overseas market in an all-round way. For instance, it has joined in marketing campaigns organized by Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and Chengdu Municipal People’s Government to promote its tourism resources and products in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Malaysia and Indonesia.

The scenic area has also done a better job in following international standards and practices in terms of tourism marketing and service provision.
