Flood Death Toll Reaches 100 in Yunnan
The death toll from flooding and mudslides this year in southwest China's Yunnan Province has reached 100, said the provincial flood control and draught relief headquarters Thursday.
Ship Traffic Lanes Set in Yangtze River
Upstream ship traffic in the Yangtze River has never been restricted to designated lanes, until a Jiangsu Province tested the system beginning last year. Accident rates plummeted, and now other areas along both the Yangtze and the Pearl River are planning to implement the ship lane system.
British Consul-General's Remarks on HK Refuted
