Flower Lake
Itinerary:
It takes about 1.5 hours to drive from the First Bend of the Yellow River to the Flower Lake Wetland, which is 100 kilometers away. Stay overnight in Zoige County.
Highlights:
Flower Lake: Flower Lake is a natural lake (called as “Hai Zi” by locals) in the Re’er Daba Grassland. It is called Flower Lake because water plants in the shallow waters of the lake blossom with small flowers. The lake is surrounded by hundreds of mu of water meadows, where the world’s rare and endangered wild animals like black-necked cranes, Haliaeetus leucoryphus inhabit.
