Kunshan Economic & Technical Development Zone (KETD) （昆山经济技术开发区）

Located in east China's Jiangsu Province, Kunshan Economic & Technical Development Zone (KETD) was founded in 1985, and was upgraded by the State Council to a national-level development zone in 1992. Information technology, precision machinery, daily commodity are three pillar industries of KETD.

By the end of October 2010, KETD had approved 1,642 projects with contractors from 43 countries and regions including Europe, the U.S., Japan, and South Korea, with total contracted foreign funds of US$14.9 billion. Forbes Global 500 enterprises such as Foxconn and LG, have 54 projects in the area.
