New Beijing airport targets 2018 opening
Construction of a new airport in south Beijing will start next year, and the facility is expected to be completed and put into use in 2018.

  2014 World Seed Conference  

The 75th World Seed Conference is to kick off at the Qinglong Lake International Cultural Center in Beijing's Fengtai District in 2014. Expected to run from May 24  to 29, it's held by China for the first time.


The World Seed Conference, hosted by the International Seed Federation (ISF), is the biggest annual gathering in the seed industry. The event, dubbed "the seed industry's Olympics," combines meetings, forums and biztalks, providing a platform for all nations to showcase their achievements in the seed industry and seek cooperation opportunities.
